Please Dont Stop Remembering

While remembering one of my lifetime idol,
my Grandpa Ben, this song was played and
all of a sudden his memories and
memories of my Barili life flooded my mind.
Miss you Lolo ... :)

PLEASE DON'T STOP REMEMBERING / RANDY EDELMAN

I try over and over again
Keepin' on till the day when it ends
But there doesn't seem to be any answer left for me
I go over and over it all
Every detail I don't need recall
But there doesn't seem to be any answer left for me
Just the day and the night
And the thought of what we used to be.

Never knew a day could be so long
Never knew a love could be so wrong
Never guessed to find such joy could come as hurt
So I take to a road paved in green
I'll return when I wake from this dream
But the pain doesn't leave, the distance makes it grow
All I have are the ashes
One small spark from your glow.

Chorus 1:
(Oh) Please don't stop remembering
Even though I'm not there
My mind knows you've gone
But my heart doesn't care
Oh please don't stop remembering
Though time fades away
(But) The love still lives on
And your memories stay.

Now I live in a place by the sea
It took time that I set myself free
And I'm starting to feel that I'm not such a fool
Cause I know that I tested the ledge
I almost fell over the edge
But life is worth so much so I go home
With the day and the night
And the dream, I still got my song.

(Repeat Chorus 1)

Chorus 2:
(Oh) Please don't stop remembering
Even though I'm not there
My mind knows you've gone
But my heart doesn't care
And if by chance you see me
Well, I'll smile and say hi
You'd think I look fine
But I'm breakin' inside.
(Repeat 1st 4 lines of Chorus 2)

Coda:
Oh please don't stop remembering
Though years may go by
The love still lives on
And the memories fly.
(Repeat Chorus 2)

Watching the days gone by

Feb 5 2007. Monday. I am again in Hachiyama. With the test group, about to finish the WebCuscon Step 9 module for its tentative release on this month. Step 9 is the second module that I am involved with as an Intracompany-transferee here, in Tokyo. I am involved in all the phases of this Step 9 module's C&C function. From coding, creation of test items, execution of test items, right until on the client's opposing test. Actually this is not the job description I know that was shown to me before I accepted the Intra-transferee offer. I am supposed to act as a BSE or Bridge Software Engineer. As a BSE, I am supposed to act as a communication bridge between NSP and NCOS. See to it that specifications are clearly understood by NSP and monitor the progress of each phases of every Step of WebCuscon. But somehow, i am like doing a business trip here in Tokyo. I dont even had the chance to communicate with NSP on Step 9 because I was assigned on a different module. Next month, March 2007, would mark my 1 year stay here in Tokyo, and so far my expectation on my job here is disappointing. Nothing is new. Nothing is inspiring. Just a normal business trip cycle. Just a redundant and boring job that I have been doing for the last 5 years in NSP. Anyway, being assigned here places a responsibility on my shoulder to train, (daw), some engineers on what I have learned on my two-year stay here in Tokyo, to "pass on" rather. I was wondering what would I train or pass on if what I have learned here is nothing new in NSP. Next year, March 2008, I will be going back home, something I am looking forward to. One more year and thats it, 12 more months of "business trip", 365 more days that I will be wasting instead of exploring on new environment or new technology. What a waste!!!

Health Check - September

Okey, here is me after six months in Japan.
Guess what! The gyudon trips really made its way to weigh me up. Bwehehehe.

I would just include Jaja here. She had a cute pose anyway.
Talo pa si Minnie Mouse :D

Smile, smile, smile.
Trash all the stresses and work tensions for awhile. Jaja and her Minnie Mouse attire. Hahaha

The House of Terror... daw.
I didn't know why I'm raising my arms anyway.
And they were not looking at the cam. tsk tsk

Lost in Translation

The language barrier is quite frustrating here in Japan. Not only me experienced the hard times in trying to break up that wall but also my colleagues had. Hard times anyway could be a good chance to experience humors in serendipity.

Mo ichido onegaishimasu - (Once more please)
A friend bought two items in Akihabara. He asked for a plastic bag for his purchases but the salesman only handed him one. So he needed to ask for another plastic bag and said to the salesman with a smile, "Mo ichido onegaishimasu". As expected the salesman, though confused, grab the plastic bag from him and hand it to him again one more time. What could the salesman thought at that time? Bwehehehe

Yasui (Cheap) vs Yasai (Vegetables)
A high-ranking personnel had visited our japan counterpart and a party was held for his arrival. The japs had ordered the specialty of that elegant restaurant, which was a mix of meat and vegetables. When the order had arrived, the japs then presented to him saying that was the specialty of the house and asked him to try it. Before he did, he spoiledthe faces of everyone by saying, "Yasui ne.", which he really meantwas "Yasai ne".

The finale

"We don't care."
On the japs side, here we go. I invited one of the japs for a drink and chat in one of the hotel bars in Cebu. At that time my peers were also in one of the disco houses near that hotel and kept on calling me to join them. The japs must have noticed my phone vibrated several times so I just told them that it was my peers asking me to join them on the adjacent disco. With a smile on his face he told me, "It's ok, just go, we don't care.". It was as if I had bottomed up a whole tequilla bottle before I realize what he really meant. He just meant to say that "It's ok, just go, we wont mind.". Bite me. :D

Chapter Closed

I just had a chapter of my life closed, concluded, and finished. Funny how it all started with text messages, emails, dinners, chats, plans, and it all ended up with a single word. I understand it was not really meant to be a relationship if we cant even survive from simple gossips from people around us, or even miles could just tear us apart, crumpled, like the silent corners of the dark alleys I used to pass by after overtime work, forever keeping words unspoken. And it had finally ended right into the sink, the trash bin of the past. And life is newer once again. A door closes, a new one opens. I just hope that it closes as fast as it had opened before.
