AUNTIE ELMA (An Acrostic Poem)

Auntie Elma is my favorite Aunt. She is everything - understanding, caring, kind, and unselfish. She is a perfect Aunt for me, I am her avid fan. I wrote this poem for her to show how much I appreciated everything that she has done for me and for everybody.

Auntie Elma

Amidst the toils of life I often fall
Unveiling shadows for me were too tall
Never did I saw a single starshine
To lighten this darkening road of mine
Into this hapless dream on this sullen grand
Even there you reach out with helping hand

Every heartbreak I felt though doesnt end
Lest you unfold strength in them when they mend
My sun shines for every dream I could stand
And you were just there with your helping hand

For the last 20 years or so, my life was filled with disapointments. I worked hard to make things right. Funny, just when I am about to say good bye to memories and people that made me cry, you came just in time to tell me I am worth something more. You have always been my inspiration. Though far, I always knew someone out there appreciates me. And that's you. Thank You!
