New post for the new year

What's new, what's old? A happy new year, and the old year's a history. We traveled this far, and 2012 is here. Right before our hands. Every new year is an achievement, a reward, a gift. Imagine all through the past years, the trials, the hardships, the smiles, and victories we had. We have surpassed all those things and now we are here for another set of it. Life is worth living, satisfying, and divine.

As the song goes, "Its been a long and winding journey but im finally here tonight " (Angels Brought Me Here), life is journey. We are on a journey. And the journey is worth traveling.

There is one lesson in life I would like to share to you which also I have learned from that year which have just past, 2011. And I hope this could relate to your own experience.

"This is your time, and your time is now."

--

This is your life and your time to be happy is now. Many times i have given up my own happiness in the name of selflessness. BUT this is wrong. If you give up on something, be happy that you did it for the sake of others. Don’t give up happiness but be happy on giving up for others. Your time is now to be happy. Do not wait for a time to be happy. Life is too short for the waiting. Look around you, your parents, siblings, friends, health, job, food, money, time, and everything you need, they are given to you as you deserved it. Realize you need them and be happy for it. Do not be bitter with your wants as you cannot have everything. Most importantly be thankful for the time you spent with your love ones, as time will always be a passing bliss. Cherish it and feel its moment. The small talks, chats, smiles are always there, so it seems, but you will soon realize how you loved those times when they cant happen again. Be happy, cry, smile, and move on for the next best things in life.

This is your chance to grow, for achievement, for victory, and for bravery. Life ahead has a new set of experiences for you. This is it, endure it, love its chances of growth. Life has something for you right now. In account of receiving something from life, give some space for it. It means, lose something in order to have something for your better gain. Embrace the incoming blessing while gracefully surrendering the old things for others. Give yourself a space to grow while giving away the childish thoughts of selfishness. Accept defeat for a chance to stand up for bravery. Give away strength to gain new ones for greater achievements. Do this with a grateful heart and an open mind.

This is the time to be you. Its your turn to be you. As the song goes, "for years I've seen my life through someone else's eyes, and now its my turn."

Lastly, be gentle with yourself, after all it is God, through you, that makes life worth living.

Have a blessed new year to All!!

Life is a One-Way trip

Have you experienced having a great meal
with your favorite food yet you cannot finish it all
up to savor its taste because you have some things
to catch up?

Or having a last minute check on the TV and found
out that your favorite show is on yet you need to
leave the house for an important appointment?

Or met a long long lost favorite friend on the
road but you were on a hurry so that all you
can say is "Hi... call you!" but you forgot to
get her or his number?

Edgar Allan Po's poem Stopping By Woods on a Snowy Evening
is an example showing these kind of instances,
that life is a choice between responsibility
and pleasure, between responsibility and life's chances,
between responsibility and, shall we call, happiness and self-gratitude.

There is always a question on how willing are
we to give up part of our responsibility for a
certain chance of opportunity for us to enjoy
life's unique happiness. Chances that may never
come again for you to experience. Moments that
are once in a lifetime.

I once had a very important person in my life whom
i did not see for quite some time. Like 5 years or so.
He was my inspiration, my fan, my motivation since
I was a child. There was a chance for me to see him
once again that time. He was already weak and gray
yet never ceases to adore me. But circumstance shortened
my time to talk to him that time because of some
responsibility I need to attend. I never knew then
that would be the last time I could talk to him.
He was my grand pa.

According to one of my favorite authors, "If I could
turn back time, I would attend my son's graduation rather
than render an overtime in the office. Or lay in the comfort
of my bed if I feel sick rather than attend a meeting
which I thought would never push through without me. Today, I left
the company, yet tomorrow they will have someone ready to replace me.
Yet those moments i have given up are forever gone."

One of the secrets in life is to remember that
happiness is along on its journey not at the end. A journey
of rare chances of happy moments for you to savor.
Responsibilities will help you move on, strengthen, and guide
but its not what life is all about. Don't get consumed by it.
Learn to slow down, take the moment, enjoy, savor, and give
yourself a break.
The things, chances, persons, loved ones, moments
you have today maybe gone tomorrow, but there are
always responsibilities life has for you until the end.

Be wise on your choices because life is a one-way trip.

Loves that I have lost

Today, one of the days in June.

I was at the church, and there happened to be a wedding.
It was a June bride kind of thing.
And the priest had mentioned on his homily
about how many girlfriends he had when he
was a teenager, and then college, then work,
before he was able to decide that his
happiness is on being a priest.

then i recalled back in my mind, on how many
times did I tried to gamble feelings. From high school
until now.

From the first time I thought
i felt love, and then be loved.

How it felt so real on that moment, and as real as the next.
The deep happiness i had to be with the one i loved
with the same happiness yet different experience
on the next.

How true and committed I am on a
relationship and how painful was it.

How i died a little when it ends and
then live more on the next.

As I went on one by one, the feelings
and pains were no longer there but wisdom.

I became more worthy on the next relationship
I will soon have someday. The loves that I
have lost - i will forever be grateful to them.

How many times will I feel love, be loved,
die a little, live more,
before I get to the end of this search?

No one on earth knows.

For all of us, just love and hold on until all the
good is gone because we will never love on the same way again.

(nice lyrics :p )

I miss you Pain
(unedited)
----
I miss...
the tidbits of memory you created
i have drawn it with my loneliness'
the pain dripping from your words
words that i have spoken with sadness
----
I miss...
the kind but wary silence of your presence
the smiles, the frowns, the blank stares between
the bitter sweet hate of your eyes are luring
a drop of honey from your painful sting within
----
I miss...
thinking that you are mine, believing its lasting
In those nights when i lay down beside you
but those are dreams and reality is forever
reality is me wanting you, me will never be with you
----
You are so distant now...
you look painfully beautiful from here
from our Night sky; yet i am just your moon
just a cookie in your vast milky way
or sadly, simply your let-go toy balloon

Missing You

Its been exactly six months since i have been away from you. I never thought I would miss you like this. It caught me off-handed when all the struggle not to see you again, not to think of you again, were all just a puff of smoke, or grains of sand escaping from my effort to forget you. Now, I humbly admit, I am missing you. I miss you, would that be enough for you to hear, to believe me how much I need you right now. Standing in the rain, like a child shivering, quivering, longing for the warmth of your very smile, waiting to melt in your gaze, and lost in the heaven of your eyes.

I miss you my blog.
